ABOUT THE PARK

The Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a State Park owned and operated by the State of Michigan. 

The Dunes in whole sprawl roughly over 2,000 acres. The ORV Park, where we are allowed to drive our vehicles, is roughly 450 acres of the North end of the Dunes. 

The ORV Park is open in the from April - October with hours varying throughout the season (see more detailed info about the Season & Hours here). 

Within the park you will find beautiful views of the dunes and Lake Michigan, cool vehicles of all kinds testing their capabilities on the sand, and access to Lake Michigan! You’ll notice all vehicles have an orange dune flag on their vehicle front or back depending on vehicle type). These are required at all times in the park so that vehicles can be more easily seen when coming over a hill to an opposing vehicle. Check out more Rules and Regulations here.
